Minority Businesses Invited to Certification Workshop

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 the Office of Fair Practices, in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Certification Unit, will host a free workshop for the businesses who want to obtain certification as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) or Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). The workshop will be held from 10 a.m.-noon, in the Judiciary Education and Conference Center, 2011-D Commerce Park Drive, Annapolis Md., 21401. This event will highlight the certification process through MDOT for MBE/DBE firms and prime contractors.

The Judiciary regularly solicits work for:

  • IT software, hardware , and consulting
  • Office furniture, equipment, and moving services
  • Paper and office supplies
  • Catering
  • Promotional products

The workshop is free and open to the public, but space is limited and reservations are required. Attendees must register for the event by Dec. 6.
