"The Master Practitioner and The Reflective Brain," presenter, Nan Burnett. Thursday, February 27, 2014 -- noon to 1pm EST

How do mediation practitioners develop mastery in their work? This webinar will explore the relationship between reflective thinking and neuroscience. It will cover how what we perceive at the table is processed and how it can enhance our reflective thinking. Developing mastery also includes the concepts of mindfulness and integrative thought as well as holistic approaches to self-care.

Nan Waller Burnett, MA is a transformative high conflict mediator, psychotherapist; conflict systems design consultant, executive and legal coach and a founding partner in Dispute Resolution Professionals, LLC. Nan is the author of a daily spiritual practice book entitled Calm in the Face of the Storm: Spiritual Daily Practice for the Peacemaker, and also the winner of the 2008 Gold Medal for Spirituality/Inspiration at the National Independent Book Publishers Awards, [IPPY].

Cultivating Self-Awareness - Receive a new email each Monday in February

These e-mails, received early each month are designed to provide a variety of short discussions, introductions to ideas and concepts, quotes, examples, resources and other materials in the area of mindfulness and self-reflective practice. Each Monday, for the month of February, a Cultivating Self-Awareness e-mail will arrive in your in-box to enjoy.

Guided Telephone Meditation
12:00 p.m.— 12:30 p.m.

Self-awareness in mediators can be cultivated through meditation. On Tuesdays during
February please join us for a 15 minutes, lightly guided telephone meditation followed by a
brief time for comments and questions. The entire call will last no more than 30 minutes.
These guided meditations are designed for all experience levels, from those who have never
tried meditation to those with more experience.
